Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre is beginning an exciting multi-phase rejuvenation of our pool and wellness facilities, designed to create an enhanced wellness experience for our guests.
Phase 1 begins September 8, 2026, with improvements to the indoor welcome and reception area, indoor pool entry/hallway, sauna and open shower area. This is the first stage of a broader renovation of the Wellness Centre, with additional enhancements tentatively planned for 2027.
Pool & Hot Tubs Remain Open
Throughout Phase 1, guests will continue to have access to:
- Outdoor pool
- Hot tubs
- Changerooms and washrooms
- Exercise room
Access to the outdoor pool and hot tubs will be temporarily rerouted while renovation work is underway. Guests should follow the directional signage provided within the Wellness Centre.
What’s Being Refreshed
- New dry and wet saunas
- New shower fixtures, including a rain shower
- New flooring and wall tile
- New lighting
- New wall finishes and paint
- A new welcome desk and refreshment area
- Updated rock facing and architectural finishes
- Modifications to the layout and surrounding walls
Temporary Closures & Changes
While Phase 1 is underway, the following areas and amenities will be temporarily unavailable:
- Existing sauna
- Indoor pool access
- Wellness Centre welcome/reception desk
- Regular towel area
- Normal exterior pool-access doors
To access the pool facility during the renovation, guests will continue to enter the Wellness Centre through the main lobby hallway doors using their room key. From there, signage will direct guests to the changerooms, washrooms and temporary access route to the outdoor pool and hot tubs.
What to Expect During Your Stay
Renovation work is expected to take place primarily Monday to Friday during daytime hours.
Guests may notice some renovation-related noise, vibration or temporary visual impacts within and around the Wellness Centre. Minimal disturbance to guestrooms is anticipated.
We appreciate your understanding as we make these improvements and will work to minimize impacts to the guest experience wherever possible.
When Will Phase 1 Be Complete?
Phase 1 is targeted for completion before the beginning of the 2026-27 winter ski season. As with any renovation project, timing may change depending on project requirements.
Following Phase 1, additional enhancements to the pool facility are planned for 2027, including full improvements to the outdoor pool and hot tub area, changerooms and washrooms.

A: Yes. The outdoor pool and hot tubs will remain open throughout Phase 1.
